คำพยากรณ์ว่าเยรูซาเล็มจะได้รับการช่วยกู้

1เมื่อกษัตริย์เฮเซคียาห์ทรงได้ยินเช่นนั้นก็ทรงฉีกฉลองพระองค์ สวมผ้ากระสอบ แล้วเสด็จเข้าสู่พระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 2พระองค์ทรงใช้เจ้ากรมวังเอลียาคิม ราชเลขาเชบนา และบรรดาปุโรหิตอาวุโสให้ไปพบผู้เผยพระวจนะอิสยาห์บุตรอาโมศ ทุกคนล้วนสวมชุดผ้ากระสอบ 3พวกเขากล่าวกับอิสยาห์ว่า “เฮเซคียาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า วันนี้เป็นวันแห่งความทุกข์ระทม การประณามหยามเหยียด และความอับอาย เหมือนเมื่อทารกพร้อมจะเกิด แต่ผู้เป็นแม่ไม่มีแรงจะเบ่งออกมา 4บางทีพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของท่านจะทรงได้ยินถ้อยคำของแม่ทัพ ซึ่งกษัตริย์อัสซีเรียเจ้านายของเขาใช้ให้มาหมิ่นประมาทพระเจ้าผู้ทรงพระชนม์อยู่ และพระองค์จะทรงลงโทษเขาเนื่องด้วยถ้อยคำที่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของท่านทรงได้ยินนั้น ดังนั้นขอโปรดอธิษฐานเผื่อพวกเราที่เหลืออยู่เพียงหยิบมือนี้ด้วยเถิด”5เมื่อข้าราชบริพารของกษัตริย์เฮเซคียาห์มาพบอิสยาห์ 6อิสยาห์ก็กล่าวกับพวกเขาว่า “จงไปบอกนายของท่านว่า ‘องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า อย่ากลัวสิ่งที่ได้ยิน คือถ้อยคำซึ่งลูกน้องของกษัตริย์อัสซีเรียได้หมิ่นประมาทเรา 7จงฟังเถิด! เรากำลังจะบันดาลวิญญาณอย่างหนึ่งในตัวเขา เพื่อเมื่อเขาได้ยินรายงานบางอย่าง เขาจะกลับไปยังประเทศของตน และเราจะให้เขาตายด้วยดาบที่นั่น’ ”

แห่งอียิปต์ยกทัพจะมาสู้รบกับพระองค์ เมื่อได้ยินดังนั้นพระองค์จึงทรงส่งคนกลับมาแจ้งแก่เฮเซคียาห์ว่า 10“จงไปบอกกษัตริย์เฮเซคียาห์แห่งยูดาห์ดังนี้ว่า อย่ายอมให้พระเจ้าซึ่งเจ้าพึ่งพานั้นหลอกลวงเจ้าเมื่อพระองค์ตรัสว่า ‘เยรูซาเล็มจะไม่ตกอยู่ในมือกษัตริย์อัสซีเรีย’ 11เจ้าก็รู้ดีว่าบรรดากษัตริย์อัสซีเรียได้ทำอะไรแก่ประเทศทั้งปวงบ้าง กษัตริย์เหล่านั้นได้ทำลายล้างทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างราบคาบ แล้วเจ้าจะได้รับการช่วยกู้หรือ? 12บรรดาพระของชนชาติต่างๆ ที่บรรพบุรุษของเราได้ทำลายล้างไปนั้นได้ช่วยกอบกู้พวกเขาไว้หรือ อย่างพระทั้งหลายของโกซาน ฮาราน เรเซฟ และชาวเอเดนในเทลอัสสาร์? 13ไหนล่ะกษัตริย์ฮามัท กษัตริย์อารปัด กษัตริย์เสฟารวาอิม เฮนา และอิฟวาห์?” คำอธิษฐานของเฮเซคียาห์

14เมื่อเฮเซคียาห์ทรงรับสาส์นฉบับนี้และอ่านจบ ก็เสด็จไปยังพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าและทรงคลี่สาส์นนั้นออกต่อหน้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 15แล้วเฮเซคียาห์ทรงอธิษฐานต่อองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าว่า 16“ข้าแต่พระยาห์เวห์ผู้ทรงฤทธิ์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล ผู้ประทับอยู่บนพระที่นั่งระหว่างเครูบ พระองค์ผู้เดียวทรงเป็นพระเจ้าเหนือมวลอาณาจักรของโลก พระองค์ทรงสร้างฟ้าสวรรค์และแผ่นดินโลก 17ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ขอทรงเงี่ยพระกรรณสดับฟัง ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ขอทรงทอดพระเนตรและสดับฟังถ้อยคำทั้งสิ้นซึ่งเซนนาเคอริบส่งมาสบประมาทพระเจ้าผู้ทรงพระชนม์อยู่18“ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า เป็นความจริงที่ว่าบรรดากษัตริย์อัสซีเรียได้ทำลายล้างชนชาติทั้งปวงนี้ และแผ่นดินของพวกเขา 19และได้เผาทำลายพระของพวกเขาทิ้งเพราะพระเหล่านั้นไม่ใช่พระเจ้า เป็นเพียงแต่ไม้และหินที่ทำขึ้นด้วยมือมนุษย์ 20บัดนี้ข้าแต่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย ขอทรงช่วยข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายให้พ้นจากเงื้อมมือของเขา เพื่อมวลอาณาจักรในโลกนี้จะได้รู้ว่า พระยาห์เวห์พระองค์แต่เพียงผู้เดียวเท่านั้นทรงเป็นพระเจ้า ▼

21จากนั้นอิสยาห์บุตรอาโมศจึงให้นำความมาทูลเฮเซคียาห์ว่า “พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลตรัสดังนี้ว่า เพราะเจ้าได้อธิษฐานเรื่องกษัตริย์เซนนาเคอริบแห่งอัสซีเรียต่อเรา 22องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจึงตรัสถึงเขาดังนี้ว่า“ธิดาพรหมจารีแห่งศิโยน ▼

23ใครนะที่เจ้าเย้ยหยันและลบหลู่?
เจ้าขึ้นเสียง
และทำตาหยิ่งยโสใส่ใคร?
ก็องค์บริสุทธิ์แห่งอิสราเอลน่ะสิ!
24เจ้าใช้ผู้สื่อสารของเจ้า
มากล่าววาจาลบหลู่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
และเจ้าได้กล่าวว่า
‘ด้วยรถม้าศึกมากมายของข้า
ข้าได้ขึ้นไปถึงบรรดายอดเขาสูง
สู่สุดยอดแห่งเลบานอน
ข้าได้โค่นบรรดาสนซีดาร์ที่สูงที่สุด
และต้นสนที่ดีเยี่ยมที่สุด
ข้าได้ขึ้นไปถึงยอดที่สูงที่สุด
คือป่าอันอุดมสมบูรณ์ที่สุด

ทำให้กลายเป็นกองหิน
27ชาวเมืองเหล่านั้นหมดอำนาจ
ถดถอยและอับอาย
พวกเขาเหมือนพืชในทุ่งนา
เหมือนหน่ออ่อนเขียวสด
เหมือนหญ้างอกขึ้นบนหลังคา

30“เฮเซคียาห์เอ๋ย นี่จะเป็นหมายสำคัญแก่เจ้าคือ
“ปีนี้เจ้าจะกินพืชพันธุ์ที่งอกขึ้นเอง
และปีที่สองก็จะกินพืชพันธุ์ที่ออกผลตามมา
แต่ในปีที่สาม จงหว่านและเก็บเกี่ยว
จงทำสวนองุ่นและกินผลของมัน
31ประชากรยูดาห์ที่เหลืออยู่เพียงหยิบมือนั้น
จะหยั่งรากและเกิดผลอีกครั้งหนึ่ง
32เพราะจะมีคนที่เหลือรอดอยู่หยิบมือหนึ่งมาจากเยรูซาเล็ม
และผู้รอดชีวิตกลุ่มหนึ่งจะมาจากภูเขาศิโยน
ความกระตือรือร้นของพระยาห์เวห์ผู้ทรงฤทธิ์
จะกระทำให้สำเร็จตามนี้
33“ฉะนั้นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสถึงกษัตริย์อัสซีเรียดังนี้ว่า
“เขาจะไม่ได้เข้ามาในเมืองนี้
หรือยิงธนูที่นี่
เขาจะไม่มาถือโล่อยู่หน้าเมือง
หรือสร้างเชิงเทินล้อมโจมตีมัน
34เขามาทางไหนก็จะกลับไปทางนั้น
เขาจะไม่ได้เข้ามาในเมืองนี้”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
35“เราจะปกป้องและช่วยเมืองนี้ไว้
เพื่อเห็นแก่เราเองและเห็นแก่ดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของเรา!”
36แล้วทูตสวรรค์ขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าก็ออกไปประหารคนในค่ายของอัสซีเรีย 185,000 คน วันรุ่งขึ้นเมื่อผู้คนตื่นขึ้น ก็เห็นซากศพเกลื่อนกลาด! 37กษัตริย์เซนนาเคอริบแห่งอัสซีเรียจึงทรงให้รื้อค่ายและถอนทัพกลับไปยังเมืองนีนะเวห์และประทับอยู่ที่นั่น
38วันหนึ่งขณะที่ทรงนมัสการอยู่ในวิหารของพระนิสรอคของพระองค์ อัดรัมเมเลคและชาเรเซอร์โอรสของพระองค์เองได้ปลงพระชนม์พระองค์ด้วยดาบ แล้วหนีไปยังดินแดนอารารัต และเอสารฮัดโดนโอรสอีกองค์หนึ่งของพระองค์ขึ้นครองราชย์แทน

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
