Jeremiah 6
Ierusalimul va fi asediat
1Fugiți din mijlocul Ierusalimului,fii ai lui Beniamin!
Sunați din trâmbiță la Tekoa!
Dați semnalul la Bet-Hacherem!
Căci din nord se ivește o nenorocire
și o mare distrugere.
2O voi distruge pe fiica Sionului,
cea frumoasă și delicată,
3împotriva căreia vin păstorii cu turmele lor;
ei își întind corturile în jurul ei
și fiecare își paște turma în dreptul lui“.
4„Declarați război împotriva ei!
Ridicați-vă! Să atacăm la amiază!
Dar, vai, ziua se sfârșește
și umbrele de seară se lungesc.
5Ridicați-vă! Să atacăm în timpul nopții
și să-i distrugem palatele!“
6Așa vorbește Domnul Oștirilor:
„Tăiați copaci
și ridicați rampe de asalt împotriva Ierusalimului!
Această cetate trebuie pedepsită,
căci în ea este numai asuprire!
7După cum o fântână își reîmprospătează apele,
tot așa își reîmprospătează și această cetate răutatea.
Violența și distrugerea răsună din ea.
Boala și rana ei sunt pentru totdeauna înaintea Mea.
8Ia învățătură, Ierusalime,
ca nu cumva să Mă înstrăinez de tine
și să te prefac într-o pustietate,
într-o țară de nelocuit“.
9Așa vorbește Domnul Oștirilor:
„Vor culege rămășița lui Israel
așa cum se culege via.
Puneți mâna pe ea,
așa cum pune culegătorul mâna pe mlădițe“.
10Cui să-i vorbesc și pe cine să înștiințez,
astfel încât ei să asculte?
Iată, urechile lor sunt necircumcise
și de aceea nu pot să fie atenți.
Iată, Cuvântul Domnului este o insultă pentru ei
și nu-și găsesc plăcerea în el.
11Eu însă sunt așa de plin de furia Domnului,
încât am obosit s-o mai țin.
„Toarn-o peste copilul de pe drum,
peste tinerii strânși laolaltă,
căci și bărbatul, și soția sa vor fi luați,
și bătrânul, și cel încărcat de zile.
12Casele lor vor trece în stăpânirea altora,
împreună cu terenurile și soțiile lor,
căci Îmi voi întinde mâna
împotriva locuitorilor țării“,
zice Domnul.
13„De la cel mai mic până la cel mai mare,
toți sunt lacomi de câștig nedrept;
de la profet până la preot,
toți înșală.
14Ei leagă în mod ușuratic
rana poporului Meu,
zicând: «Pace, pace!»,
când nu este pace.
15Dar se rușinează ei oare când comit vreo urâciune?
Nu, nu le este rușine deloc
și nici nu știu să roșească.
De aceea vor cădea împreună cu cei ce cad;
vor fi răsturnați când îi voi pedepsi“,
zice Domnul.
16Așa vorbește Domnul:
„Stați la răspântii și priviți!
Întrebați care sunt cărările cele vechi,
unde este calea cea bună; apoi umblați pe ea
și veți găsi odihnă pentru sufletele voastre.
Dar ei au zis: «Nu vrem să umblăm pe ea!».
17Am numit niște străjeri să vegheze asupra voastră.
Fiți atenți la sunetul trâmbiței!
Dar ei au zis: «Nu vrem să fim atenți!».
18De aceea, ascultați, națiunilor,
și priviți ce li se va întâmpla,
voi, martori!
19Ascultă și tu, pământule!
Iată, aduc peste poporul acesta nenorocirea,
rodul planurilor lui,
pentru că n-a ținut cont de cuvintele Mele
și a respins Legea Mea.
20Ce nevoie am Eu de tămâia care vine din Șeba
sau de trestia plăcut mirositoare,
care vine dintr-o țară îndepărtată?
Nu accept arderile voastre de tot
și nu-Mi plac jertfele voastre“.
21De aceea, așa vorbește Domnul:
„Iată, voi pune înaintea acestui popor pietre de care se vor împiedica.
Se vor împiedica de ele atât părinții, cât și copiii,
atât vecinul, cât și prietenul său, și vor pieri“.
22Așa vorbește Domnul:
„Iată, un popor vine din țara de nord,
o națiune mare a fost stârnită
de la marginile pământului.
23Ei sunt înarmați cu arcuri și cu lănci;
sunt cruzi și fără milă.
Glasul lor urlă ca marea înfuriată;
sunt călare pe cai și gata de luptă.
Ei vin ca un războinic împotriva ta,
fiică a Sionului“.
24Am auzit vești despre ei
și mâinile ne slăbesc.
Ne cuprinde chinul,
ne apucă durerea, ca pe o femeie care naște.
25Nu ieșiți pe câmpuri
și nu umblați pe drumuri,
căci dușmanul are o sabie;
de jur împrejur este teroare.
26Fiica poporului meu, acoperă-te cu o pânză de sac
și rostogolește-te în cenușă.
Plângi amarnic, ca după singurul tău fiu,
căci pe neașteptate va veni pustiitorul peste noi.
27„Te-am pus să cercetezi, ▼

te-am făcut o fortăreață în poporul Meu,
ca să cunoști
și să cercetezi calea lor.
28Toți sunt peste măsură de răzvrătiți,
umblând cu bârfa.
Sunt bronz și fier;
toți sunt niște pervertiți.
29Foalele suflă năprasnic
și plumbul este topit de foc,
dar rafinorul curăță degeaba;
cei răi nu sunt înlăturați.
30Sunt numiți argint lepădat,
căci Domnul i-a lepădat“.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
