Eigenhandig hebt U de volken weggejaagd en onze voorouders in het land gezet. U hebt andere volken verdrukt en onze voorouders sterker laten worden.
1 Zij hebben echt niet zelf het land veroverd, noch hun zwaard, noch hun lichamelijke kracht heeft hen bevrijd. Uw kracht en uw zorg hebben dat gedaan, omdat U hen liefhad.
2 God, U bent mijn Koning, zorgt U toch voor de verlossing van uw volk!
3 In uw kracht vellen wij onze tegenstanders en in uw naam lopen wij hen die tegen ons in opstand komen onder de voet.
4 Ik vertrouw niet op mijn boog en verwacht geen verlossing van mijn zwaard.
5 U hebt ons bevrijd van onze vijanden, hen die ons haten hebt U voor schut gezet.
6 Wij beroemen ons voortdurend op onze God, uw naam zullen wij altijd prijzen.
7 Toch hebt U ons weggestuurd en vernederd, U bent niet meegegaan met onze legers toen die optrokken.
8 U zorgde ervoor dat wij voor onze vijanden moesten wijken, zij konden alles bij ons plunderen.
9 U hebt ons overgeleverd als vee dat wordt geslacht. Wij zijn onder andere volken verdeeld geraakt.
10 U hebt uw volk voor een spotprijs van de hand gedaan, van dat geld bent U niet rijk geworden.
11 Onze buren roddelen over ons, U hebt ons bespottelijk gemaakt voor hen die rondom ons wonen.
12 Onze schande is spreekwoordelijk geworden bij andere volken, ze schudden het hoofd om ons.
13 Dag in, dag uit denk ik aan mijn schande, ik durf mij niet meer te vertonen
14 vanwege de woorden van de roddelaars en de blikken van mijn vijanden en hen die op wraak uit zijn.
15 Ondanks dit alles hebben wij U niet vergeten. Ook hebben wij het verbond met U nooit ontkend.
16 Ons hart bleef op U gericht, wij bleven op het rechte pad.
17 Desondanks hebt U ons op gevaarlijke plaatsen gebracht en tastten wij soms geheel in het duister.

Why do only some Bibles have clickable words?
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
What does “~20x” or “Frequency” mean?
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
Why do some words have dropdown next to the frequency number?
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
Where do I find the maps?
