De voorwerpen in de tabernakel
1‘Maak een altaar voor het brengen van reukoffers. 2Gebruik acaciahout en maak het 45 cm in het vierkant en 90 cm hoog. Uit de hoeken van het altaar moeten horens steken, die uit hetzelfde stuk hout zijn gesneden. 3Overtrek de bovenkant, de zijden en horens van het altaar met puur goud en maak een gouden omlijsting rond het hele altaar. 4Onder de omlijsting moet u aan beide zijkanten gouden ringen aanbrengen voor de draagstokken. 5De draagstokken moeten van acaciahout worden gemaakt en overtrokken met goud. 6Zet dit reukofferaltaar voor het gordijn, waarachter de ark van het verbond en het verzoendeksel zich bevinden. Daar zal Ik u ontmoeten. 7Aäron moet elke morgen als hij de lampen in orde maakt, geurige kruiden op het altaar verbranden. 8Ook als hij ʼs avonds de lampen aansteekt, moet hij de kruiden voor de Here op het altaar verbranden, van generatie op generatie moet dit doorgaan. 9Offer alleen de voorgeschreven kruiden, brandoffers, spijsoffers of drankoffers op dit altaar. 10Eenmaal per jaar moet Aäron met het bloed van het zondoffer der verzoening het altaar verzoenen, door het bloed op de horens aan te brengen. En de Here zei tegen Mozes: ‘Elke keer als u een volkstelling onder de Israëlieten houdt, moet iedere getelde een verzoeningssom voor zijn ziel aan de Here betalen, zodat er geen plaag onder het volk komt als u het telt. 13Iedere getelde moet 5,5 gram zilver betalen. 14Iedereen van twintig jaar en ouder moet dit offer aan de Here geven. 15De rijke zal niet meer en de arme niet minder betalen dan 5,5 gram zilver, want het is een offer voor de Here voor de verzoening van hun leven. 16Gebruik dit geld voor de dienst in de tabernakel, dit offer vestigt de aandacht van de Here op zijn volk en is een verzoening voor hun leven.’ 17 ▼▼ This verse is empty because in this translation its contents have been moved to form part of verse 2.Mos. 30:18.

De Here zei tegen Mozes: ‘Maak een koperen wasvat met een voetstuk van koper. Zet het tussen de tabernakel en het altaar en vul het met water. 19Aäron en zijn zonen moeten daarin hun handen en voeten wassen, 20wanneer zij de tabernakel ingaan om de Here onder ogen te komen of wanneer zij het altaar naderen om brandoffers voor de Here te brengen. Daarna gaf de Here Mozes opdracht een hoeveelheid van de beste kruiden te verzamelen: 5,5 kilo pure mirre, 2,8 kilo kaneel, 2,8 kilo kalmoes, 245,5 kilo kassie en 3,7 liter olijfolie. 25De Here droeg ervaren zalfmengers op dit alles te verwerken tot een heilige zalfolie. 26 ▼▼ This verse is empty because in this translation its contents have been moved to form part of verse 2.Mos. 30:27.

‘Gebruik dit,’ zei Hij, ‘om de tabernakel, de ark van het verbond, de tafel met al het toebehoren, de kandelaar met al het toebehoren, het reukofferaltaar 28en het brandofferaltaar met al het toebehoren en het wasvat met het voetstuk te zalven. 29Heilig deze, zodat ze allerheiligst worden, alles wat ermee in aanraking komt, zal heilig zijn. 30Ook Aäron en zijn zonen moeten ermee worden gezalfd, zodat zij Mij als priesters kunnen dienen. 31En zeg tegen het volk Israël: “Dit is voor altijd mijn heilige zalfolie. 32Het mag nooit worden uitgegoten over een gewoon mens en u mag nooit iets dergelijks voor uzelf maken, want het is heilig en u moet het ook zo behandelen. 33Degene die een dergelijke zalf bereidt en uitgiet over iemand die geen priester is, zal worden verstoten.” ’ 34Dit zijn de aanwijzingen die de Here aan Mozes gaf over het reukwerk: ‘Gebruik aangenaam geurende kruiden: hars, onyx, galbanum en pure wierook. Weeg van elke stof dezelfde hoeveelheid af en maak er een reukwerk van, 35zoals een zalfmenger dat ook doet, gezouten, zuiver en heilig. 36Stamp een deel ervan heel fijn en leg een gedeelte daarvan voor de ark van het verbond in de tabernakel, waar Ik u ontmoet. Dit moet iets allerheiligst voor u zijn. 37Maak nooit iets voor uzelf, want het is uitsluitend bestemd voor de Here en u moet het als heilig behandelen. 38Ieder die iets dergelijks voor zichzelf maakt, moet uit de gemeenschap gestoten worden.’

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
