1Mutta viikon ensimmäisenä päivänä ani varhain he tulivat haudalle, tuoden mukanaan valmistamansa hyvänhajuiset yrtit. 2Ja he havaitsivat kiven vieritetyksi pois haudalta. 3Niin he menivät sisään, mutta eivät löytäneet Herran Jeesuksen ruumista. 4Ja kun he olivat tästä ymmällä, niin katso, kaksi miestä seisoi heidän edessään säteilevissä vaatteissa. 5Ja he peljästyivät ja kumartuivat kasvoillensa maahan. Niin miehet sanoivat heille: "Miksi te etsitte elävää kuolleitten joukosta? 6Ei hän ole täällä, hän on noussut ylös. Niin he sanoivat hänelle: "Sitä, mikä tapahtui Jeesukselle, Nasaretilaiselle, joka oli profeetta, voimallinen teossa ja sanassa Jumalan ja kaiken kansan edessä, 20kuinka meidän ylipappimme ja hallitusmiehemme antoivat hänet tuomittavaksi kuolemaan ja ristiinnaulitsivat hänet. 21Mutta me toivoimme hänen olevan sen, joka oli lunastava Israelin. Ja hän meni sisään ja jäi heidän luoksensa. 30Ja tapahtui, kun hän oli aterialla heidän kanssaan, että hän otti leivän, siunasi, mursi ja antoi heille. 31Silloin heidän silmänsä aukenivat, ja he tunsivat hänet. Kosketelkaa minua ja katsokaa, sillä ei hengellä ole lihaa eikä luita, niinkuin te näette minulla olevan." 40Ja tämän sanottuaan hän näytti heille kätensä ja jalkansa. 41Mutta kun he eivät vielä uskoneet, ilon tähden, vaan ihmettelivät, sanoi hän heille: "Onko teillä täällä jotakin syötävää?" 42Niin he antoivat hänelle palasen paistettua kalaa. 43Ja hän otti ja söi heidän nähtensä. 44Ja hän sanoi heille: "Tätä tarkoittivat minun sanani, kun minä puhuin teille ollessani vielä teidän kanssanne, että kaiken pitää käymän toteen, mikä minusta on kirjoitettu Mooseksen laissa ja profeetoissa ja psalmeissa". 45Silloin hän avasi heidän ymmärryksensä käsittämään kirjoitukset. 46Ja hän sanoi heille: "Niin on kirjoitettu, että Kristus oli kärsivä ja kolmantena päivänä nouseva kuolleista, 47ja että parannusta syntien anteeksisaamiseksi on saarnattava hänen nimessänsä kaikille kansoille, alkaen Jerusalemista. 48Te olette tämän todistajat. 49Ja katso, minä lähetän teille sen, jonka minun Isäni on luvannut; mutta te pysykää tässä kaupungissa, kunnes teidän päällenne puetaan voima korkeudesta." 50Sitten hän vei heidät pois, lähes Betaniaan asti, ja nosti kätensä ja siunasi heidät. 51Ja tapahtui, että hän siunatessaan heitä erkani heistä, ja hänet otettiin ylös taivaaseen. 52Ja he kumarsivat häntä ja palasivat Jerusalemiin suuresti iloiten. 53Ja he olivat alati pyhäkössä ja ylistivät Jumalaa.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
