Ja jos joku minua palvelee, niin Isä on kunnioittava häntä. 27Nyt minun sieluni on järkytetty; ja mitä pitäisi minun sanoman? Isä, pelasta minut tästä hetkestä. Kuitenkin: sitä varten minä olen tähän hetkeen tullut. 28Isä, kirkasta nimesi!" Niin taivaasta tuli ääni: "Minä olen sen kirkastanut, ja olen sen vielä kirkastava". 29Niin kansa, joka seisoi ja kuuli sen, sanoi ukkosen jylisseen. Toiset sanoivat: "Häntä puhutteli enkeli". 30Jeesus vastasi ja sanoi: "Ei tämä ääni tullut minun tähteni, vaan teidän tähtenne. 31Nyt käy tuomio tämän maailman ylitse; nyt tämän maailman ruhtinas pitää heitettämän ulos. 32Ja kun minut ylennetään maasta, niin minä vedän kaikki tyköni." 33Mutta sen hän sanoi antaen tietää, minkäkaltaisella kuolemalla hän oli kuoleva. 34Kansa vastasi hänelle: "Me olemme laista kuulleet, että Kristus pysyy iankaikkisesti; kuinka sinä sitten sanot, että Ihmisen Poika pitää ylennettämän? Kuka on se Ihmisen Poika?" 35Niin Jeesus sanoi heille: "Vielä vähän aikaa valkeus on teidän keskuudessanne. Vaeltakaa, niin kauan kuin teillä valkeus on, ettei pimeys saisi teitä valtaansa. Joka pimeässä vaeltaa, se ei tiedä, mihin hän menee. 36Niin kauan kuin teillä valkeus on, uskokaa valkeuteen, että te valkeuden lapsiksi tulisitte." How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
