6 And all the men of Sicima, and all the house of Bethmaalo, were gathered together, and they went and made Abimelech king by the oak ^{▼▼9:6 Heb. מעכ. this is an instance of double translation, στάσεως being given for מעכ, and εὐρετῆ having reference to the word מעא to find; but Alex. rightly omits εὐρετῆ.} of Sedition, which was at Sicima.
