“ 5Ježíš jim řekl: „Pro tvrdost vašeho srdce ▼▼16,14

7Proto opustí člověk svého otce i matku [a přilne ke své ženě]. 8A budou ti dva jedno tělo, ▼▼//Gn 2,24

ať člověk neodděluje.“ 10V domě se ho na to učedníci opět ptali. 11Řekl jim: „Kdo by propustil svou ženu a oženil se s jinou, cizoloží vůči ní. 12A jestliže by ona propustila svého muže a provdala se za jiného, cizoloží.“ 13Ježíš a děti

však pokárali. 14Když to Ježíš uviděl, rozhořčil se ▼▼Mt 26,8
a řekl jim: „Nechte děti přicházet ke mně, nebraňte jim, neboť takových je Boží království. ▼▼Mt 5,3
15Amen, pravím vám, kdo nepřijme Boží království jako dítě, jistě do něho nevstoupí.“ ▼▼Mt 18,3

věčný život?“ 18Ježíš mu řekl: „Proč mne nazýváš dobrým? Nikdo není dobrý, jen jediný: Bůh. 19Přikázání znáš: Abys nezabil, nezcizoložil, neukradl, nevydal křivé svědectví, [nepodvedl]; cti svého otce a matku. ▼▼Ex 20,12—16; Dt 5,16—20

„Učiteli, toto všechno zachovávám od svého mládí.“ 21Ježíš na něho pohlédl, ⌈zamiloval si⌉ ▼▼n.: miloval
ho a řekl mu: „Jedno ti chybí: Jdi, prodej všechno, co máš, a dej chudým a budeš mít poklad v nebi; pak přijď a následuj mne.“ 22On se nad tím slovem zachmuřil a se zármutkem odešel, neboť měl mnoho majetku. ▼▼Mt 6,21.24
23Ježíš se rozhlédl a řekl svým učedníkům: „Jak těžko vcházejí do Božího království ti, kteří mají majetek.“ 24Učedníci se při jeho slovech děsili. Ježíš jim zase na to ▼▼9,5
řekl: „Děti, ▼▼J 13,33; Ga 4,19; 1J 2,1
jak nesnadné je [pro ty, kteří spoléhají na majetek,] vejít do Božího království. 25Snadnější je, aby velbloud prošel uchem jehly, než aby bohatý vešel do Božího království.“ 26Oni byli velice ohromeni a říkali ⌈si mezi sebou⌉: ▼▼var.: mu
„A kdo může být zachráněn?“ 27Ježíš na ně pohleděl a řekl: „U lidí je to nemožné, ale ne u Boha. Neboť u Boha je možné všechno.“ 28Petr mu začal říkat: „Hle, my jsme opustili všechno a následujeme tě.“ 29Ježíš říkal: „Amen, pravím vám, není nikdo, kdo opustil dům nebo bratry nebo sestry nebo matku nebo otce nebo děti nebo pole kvůli mně a kvůli evangeliu, 30aby nyní v tomto období nedostal ▼▼n.: nevzal
stokrát více domů, bratrů a sester, matek a dětí a polí s pronásledováními a v přicházejícím věku ▼▼Mt 12,32!
život věčný. 31Mnozí první budou poslední a poslední první.“ 32Ježíš opět předpovídá svou smrt

na cestě, vystupovali do Jeruzaléma a Ježíš šel před nimi; a děsili se a ti, kteří je doprovázeli, se báli. Opět si k sobě vzal Dvanáct ▼▼3,16
a začal jim říkat, co se mu má přihodit: 33„Hle, vystupujeme do Jeruzaléma; Syn člověka bude vydán velekněžím a učitelům Zákona a odsoudí ho k smrti a vydají ho pohanům. ▼▼ř.: národům
34Budou se mu posmívat, plivat ▼▼14,65; 15,19
na něho, zbičují ho a zabijí; a po třech dnech vstane z mrtvých.“ 35Přistoupili ▼▼//Mt 20,20—28
k němu Jakub a Jan, synové Zebedeovi, ▼▼1,19
a řekli mu: „Učiteli, chceme, abys nám učinil, o cokoli tě požádáme.“ 36On pak jim řekl: „Co chcete, abych vám učinil?“ 37Oni mu řekli: „Dej nám, abychom se ve tvé slávě posadili jeden po tvé pravici a jeden po tvé levici.“ 38Ježíš jim řekl: „Nevíte, co žádáte. Můžete pít kalich, který já piji, nebo být pokřtěni křtem, kterým já jsem křtěn?“ 39Oni mu řekli: „Můžeme.“ Ježíš jim řekl: „Kalich, který já piji, budete pít a křtem, kterým já jsem křtěn, budete křtěni. 40Není však má věc, dát někomu usednout po mé pravici nebo levici, ale usednou tam ti, pro které je to připraveno.“ 41Když to uslyšelo těch deset, začali být na Jakuba a Jana rozmrzelí. 42Ježíš si je zavolal a řekl jim: „Víte, že ti, kteří se zdají být vládci pohanů, ▼▼n.: národů (srv. Mt 20,25)
panují nad nimi a jejich velcí nad nimi ⌈vykonávají svou svrchovanou moc⌉. ▼▼Mt 20,25p
43Avšak ne tak je tomu mezi vámi, ale kdo by se chtěl mezi vámi stát velkým, bude vaším služebníkem; 44a kdo by chtěl být mezi vámi první, bude otrokem všech. 45Vždyť ani Syn člověka nepřišel, aby si nechal posloužit, ale aby posloužil a dal svůj život ▼▼ř.: duši; srv. Mt 20,28!

žebrák. 47A když uslyšel, že je to Ježíš Nazaretský, začal křičet: „Synu Davidův, Ježíši, smiluj se nade mnou!“ 48Mnozí mu přísně domlouvali, aby zmlkl, ale on o to víc křičel: „Synu Davidův, smiluj se nade mnou!“ 49Ježíš se zastavil a řekl: „Zavolejte ho.“ Zavolali toho slepého a řekli mu: „Vzchop se, ▼▼n.: Buď dobré mysli; Mt 9,2p
vstaň, volá tě!“ 50On odhodil ▼▼srv. He 10,35
svůj plášť, vyskočil a přišel k Ježíšovi. 51Ježíš mu odpověděl: „Co chceš, ▼▼Mt 15,28; J 5,6
abych ti učinil?“ Slepý mu řekl: „Rabbuni, ▼▼J 20,16

How do I do a word study?
- What information can I find about a word?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
