Iesu'n siarad gyda gwraig o Samaria
1Roedd y Phariseaid wedi dod i wybod fod Iesu yn ennill ac yn bedyddio mwy o ddilynwyr na Ioan Fedyddiwr 2(er mai'r disgyblion oedd yn gwneud y bedyddio mewn gwirionedd, dim Iesu.) 3Pan glywodd Iesu am hyn, gadawodd Jwdea a mynd yn ôl i Galilea. 4Ar y ffordd roedd rhaid iddo basio drwy Samaria. 5Daeth i bentref o'r enw Sychar, yn ymyl y darn tir enwog roedd Jacob wedi ei roi i'w fab Joseff ers talwm. a 6A dyna lle roedd ffynnon Jacob. Roedd Iesu wedi blino'n lân, ac eisteddodd i orffwys wrth y ffynnon. Roedd hi tua chanol dydd. 7Daeth gwraig yno i godi dŵr. Samariad oedd y wraig, a gofynnodd Iesu iddi, “Ga i ddiod gen ti?” 8(Roedd ei ddisgyblion wedi mynd i'r dre i brynu bwyd.) 9“Iddew wyt ti,” meddai'r wraig, “Sut alli di ofyn i mi am ddiod? Dw i'n wraig o Samaria.” (Y rheswm pam wnaeth hi ymateb fel yna oedd fod Iddewon fel arfer yn gwrthod defnyddio'r un llestri â'r Samariaid.) 10Atebodd Iesu, “Taset ti ond yn gwybod beth sydd gan Dduw i'w roi i ti, a phwy ydw i sy'n gofyn i ti am ddiod! Ti fyddai'n gofyn wedyn, a byddwn i'n rhoi dŵr bywiol i ti.” 11“Syr,” meddai'r wraig, “Ble mae'r ‛dŵr bywiol‛ yma sydd gen ti? Does gen ti ddim bwced i godi dŵr ac mae'r pydew yn ddwfn. 12Wyt ti'n meddwl dy fod di'n fwy na'n tad ni, Jacob? Jacob roddodd y pydew i ni. Buodd e'n yfed y dŵr yma, a'i feibion hefyd a'i anifeiliaid.” 13Atebodd Iesu, “Bydd syched eto ar bawb sy'n yfed y dŵr yma, 14ond fydd dim syched byth ar y rhai sy'n yfed y dŵr dw i'n ei roi. Yn wir, bydd y dŵr dw i'n ei roi yn troi'n ffynnon o ddŵr y tu mewn iddyn nhw, fel ffrwd yn llifo i fywyd tragwyddol.” 15Meddai'r wraig wrtho, “Syr, rho beth o'r dŵr hwnnw i mi! Wedyn fydd dim syched arna i eto, a fydd dim rhaid i mi ddal ati i ddod yma i nôl dŵr.” 16Yna dwedodd Iesu wrthi, “Dos i nôl dy ŵr, a tyrd yn ôl yma wedyn.” 17“Does gen i ddim gŵr,” meddai'r wraig. “Rwyt ti'n iawn!” meddai Iesu wrthi, “Does gen ti ddim gŵr. 18Y gwir ydy dy fod wedi cael pump o wŷr, a dwyt ti ddim yn briod i'r dyn sy'n byw gyda ti bellach. Mae beth ddwedaist ti'n wir.” 19“Dw i'n gweld dy fod ti'n broffwyd syr,” meddai'r wraig. 20“Dywed wrtho i, roedd ein hynafiaid ni'r Samariaid yn addoli ar y mynydd hwn, ▼▼4:20 y mynydd hwn: Mynydd Gerisim. Roedd y Samariaid yn dadlau mai dyma'r lle cyntaf i'r Iddewon aberthu ar ôl iddyn nhw fynd drosodd i wlad oedd Duw wedi ei addo iddyn nhw.
ond dych chi'r Iddewon yn mynnu mai Jerwsalem ydy'r lle iawn i addoli.” 21Atebodd Iesu, “Cred di fi, mae'r amser yn dod pan fydd pobl ddim yn addoli'r Tad yma ar y mynydd hwn nac yn Jerwsalem chwaith. 22Dych chi'r Samariaid ddim yn gwybod beth dych chi'n ei addoli go iawn; dŷn ni'r Iddewon yn nabod y Duw dŷn ni'n ei addoli, am mai drwy'r Iddewon mae achubiaeth Duw yn dod. 23Ond mae'r amser yn dod, ac mae yma'n barod, pan fydd Ysbryd Duw yn galluogi pobl i addoli Duw fel y mae mewn gwirionedd. Pobl sy'n ei addoli fel hyn sydd gan Dduw eisiau. 24Ysbryd ydy Duw, ac Ysbryd Duw sy'n galluogi pobl i addoli Duw fel y mae mewn gwirionedd.” 25Meddai'r wraig, “Dw i'n gwybod fod Meseia (sy'n golygu ‘Yr un wedi ei eneinio'n frenin’) yn dod. Pan ddaw, bydd yn esbonio popeth i ni.” 26“Fi ydy e,” meddai Iesu wrthi, “yr un sy'n siarad â ti.” 27Dyna pryd daeth ei ddisgyblion yn ôl. Roedden nhw'n rhyfeddu ei weld yn siarad â gwraig, ond wnaethon nhw ddim gofyn iddi “Beth wyt ti eisiau?”, na “Pam wyt ti'n siarad gyda hi?” i Iesu. 28Dyma'r wraig yn gadael ei hystên ddŵr, a mynd yn ôl i'r pentref. Dwedodd wrth y bobl yno, 29“Dewch i weld dyn oedd yn gwybod popeth amdana i. Allai e fod y Meseia tybed?” 30Felly dyma'r bobl yn mynd allan o'r pentref i gyfarfod Iesu. 31Yn y cyfamser roedd ei ddisgyblion wedi bod yn ceisio ei gael i fwyta rhywbeth. “Rabbi,” medden nhw, “bwyta.” 32Ond dyma ddwedodd Iesu: “Mae gen i fwyd i'w fwyta dych chi'n gwybod dim amdano.” 33“Ddaeth rhywun arall â bwyd iddo'i fwyta?” meddai'r disgyblion wrth ei gilydd. 34“Gwneud beth mae Duw'n ddweud ydy fy mwyd i,” meddai Iesu, “a gorffen y gwaith mae wedi ei roi i mi. 35Mae pobl yn dweud ‘Mae pedwar mis rhwng hau a medi.’ Dw i'n dweud, ‘Agorwch eich llygaid! Edrychwch ar y caeau! Mae'r cynhaeaf yn barod!’ 36Mae'r gweithwyr sy'n medi'r cynhaeaf yn cael eu cyflog, maen nhw'n casglu'r cnwd, sef y bobl sy'n cael bywyd tragwyddol. Mae'r rhai sy'n hau a'r rhai sy'n medi'r cynhaeaf yn dathlu gyda'i gilydd! 37Mae'r hen ddywediad yn wir: ‘Mae un yn hau ac arall yn medi.’ 38Dw i wedi'ch anfon chi i fedi cynhaeaf wnaethoch chi ddim gweithio amdano. Mae pobl eraill wedi gwneud y gwaith caled, a chithau'n casglu'r ffrwyth.” Llawer o Samariaid yn Credu
39Roedd nifer o Samariaid y pentref wedi credu yn Iesu am fod y wraig wedi dweud, “Roedd yn gwybod popeth amdana i.” 40Felly pan ddaethon nhw ato, dyma nhw'n ei annog i aros gyda nhw, ac arhosodd yno am ddau ddiwrnod. 41Daeth llawer iawn mwy o bobl i gredu ynddo ar ôl clywed beth oedd ganddo i'w ddweud. 42A dyma nhw'n dweud wrth y wraig, “Dŷn ni'n credu bellach am ein bod ni wedi ei glywed ein hunain, nid dim ond o achos beth ddwedaist ti. Dŷn ni'n reit siŵr mai'r dyn yma ydy Achubwr y byd.” 43Ar ôl aros yno am ddau ddiwrnod dyma Iesu'n mynd yn ei flaen i Galilea.Iesu'n iacháu mab y swyddog
(Mathew 8:5-13; Luc 7:1-10) 44Roedd Iesu wedi bod yn dweud bod proffwyd ddim yn cael ei barchu yn yr ardal lle cafodd ei fagu. 45Ond pan gyrhaeddodd Galilea cafodd groeso brwd gan y bobl oedd wedi bod yn Jerwsalem adeg Gŵyl y Pasg a gweld y cwbl oedd e wedi ei wneud yno. 46Aeth yn ôl i bentref Cana, lle roedd wedi troi'r dŵr yn win. Clywodd un o swyddogion llywodraeth Herod yn Capernaum 47fod Iesu wedi dod yn ôl o Jwdea i Galilea. Roedd mab y dyn mor sâl roedd ar fin marw, felly aeth y dyn i Cana i chwilio am Iesu ac ymbil arno i fynd i lawr i iacháu ei fab. 48Dwedodd Iesu, “Heb gael gweld arwyddion a gwyrthiau rhyfeddol wnewch chi bobl byth gredu!” 49“Ond syr,” meddai'r swyddog wrtho, “tyrd gyda mi cyn i'm plentyn bach i farw.” 50“Dos di,” meddai Iesu wrtho, “mae dy fab yn mynd i fyw.” Dyma'r dyn yn credu beth ddwedodd Iesu, a mynd. 51Tra oedd ar ei ffordd adre, daeth ei weision i'w gyfarfod gyda'r newyddion fod y bachgen yn mynd i fyw. 52Gofynnodd iddyn nhw pryd yn union wnaeth e ddechrau gwella, a dyma nhw'n ateb, “Diflannodd y gwres tua un o'r gloch p'nawn ddoe.” 53Sylweddolodd y tad mai dyna'n union pryd ddwedodd Iesu wrtho, “mae dy fab yn mynd i fyw.” Felly daeth y dyn a phawb yn ei dŷ i gredu yn Iesu. 54Hon oedd yr ail wyrth wnaeth Iesu yn Galilea fel arwydd o pwy oedd. Gwnaeth e'r wyrth ar ôl dod yn ôl o Jwdea i Galilea.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
