1“Cysurwch nhw; cysurwch fy mhobl i,” –dyna mae eich Duw yn ei ddweud.
2“Byddwch yn garedig wrth Jerwsalem,
a dweud wrthi fod y dyddiau caled drosodd;
mae hi wedi derbyn y gosb am ei drygioni.
Yn wir, mae'r Arglwydd wedi gwneud iddi
dalu'n llawn am ei holl bechodau.”
3Mae llais yn gweiddi'n uchel:
“Cliriwch y ffordd i'r Arglwydd
yn yr anialwch;
gwnewch briffordd syth i Dduw
drwy'r diffeithwch!
4Bydd pob dyffryn yn cael ei lenwi,
pob mynydd a bryn yn cael ei lefelu.
Bydd y tir anwastad yn cael ei wneud yn llyfn,
a bydd cribau'r mynyddoedd yn wastatir.
5Bydd ysblander yr Arglwydd yn dod i'r golwg,
a bydd y ddynoliaeth gyfan yn ei weld yr un pryd.”
—mae'r Arglwydd wedi dweud.
6Mae'r llais yn dweud, “Gwaedda!”
Ac un arall yn gofyn, “Gweiddi be?”
“Mae pobl feidrol fel glaswellt,” meddai,
“a ffyddlondeb dynol fel blodyn gwyllt:
7mae'r glaswellt yn crino, a'r blodyn yn gwywo
pan mae'r Arglwydd yn chwythu arnyn nhw.”
Ie, glaswellt ydy'r bobl.
8Mae'r glaswellt yn crino, a'r blodyn yn gwywo,
ond mae neges yr Arglwydd yn aros am byth!
9Seion, sy'n cyhoeddi newyddion da,
dringa i ben mynydd uchel!
Ie, Jerwsalem, sy'n cyhoeddi newyddion da,
gwaedda'n uchel!
Gwaedda! Paid bod ag ofn!
Dywed wrth drefi Jwda:
“Dyma'ch Duw chi!”
10Edrych! Mae'r Meistr, yr Arglwydd,
yn dod fel milwr cryf
i deyrnasu gyda nerth.
Edrych! Mae ei wobr ganddo;
mae'n dod a'i roddion o'i flaen.
11Bydd yn bwydo ei braidd fel bugail: a
bydd yn codi'r ŵyn yn ei freichiau
ac yn eu cario yn ei gôl,
tra'n arwain y defaid sy'n eu magu.
Does neb tebyg i'r Duw byw
12Pwy sydd wedi dal y moroedd yng nghledr ei law,a mesur yr awyr rhwng ei fysedd?
Pwy sydd wedi dal pridd y ddaear mewn padell,
pwyso'r mynyddoedd mewn mantol
a'r bryniau gyda chlorian?
13Pwy sydd wedi gosod ffiniau i ysbryd yr Arglwydd,
neu roi arweiniad iddo fel ei gynghorydd personol?
14Gyda pwy mae Duw'n trafod i gael gwybod beth i'w wneud?
Pwy sy'n ei ddysgu i wneud y peth iawn?
Pwy sy'n rhoi gwybodaeth iddo?
Pwy sy'n ei helpu i ddeall?
15Dydy'r cenhedloedd ond diferyn mewn bwced;
dim mwy na llwch ar glorian!
Dydy'r ynysoedd yn ddim mwy na llwch mân.
16Does dim digon o goed tân yn Libanus,
na digon o anifeiliaid chwaith,
i baratoi offrwm teilwng i'w losgi iddo.
17Dydy'r gwledydd i gyd yn ddim o'i gymharu ag e –
maen nhw fel rhywbeth dibwys yn ei olwg,
yn llai na dim byd!
18Felly, i bwy mae Duw yn debyg yn eich barn chi?
Gyda beth allwch chi ei gymharu?
19Eilun? Cerfiwr sy'n siapio hwnnw,
a gof yn ei orchuddio ag aur
a gwneud bachau i'w ddal yn ei le!
20Mae'r sawl sy'n rhy dlawd
yn dewis pren fydd ddim yn pydru,
ac yn edrych am y crefftwr gorau
i wneud eilun sydd ddim yn symud!
21Ydych chi ddim yn gwybod?
Ydych chi ddim wedi clywed?
Oes neb wedi dweud wrthoch chi o'r dechrau?
Ydych chi ddim yn deall sut gafodd y ddaear ei sylfaenu?
22Fe ydy'r Un sy'n eistedd uwchben y ddaear,
ac mae'r bobl sy'n byw arni fel ceiliogod rhedyn o'i flaen.
Fe ydy'r Un sy'n taenu'r awyr fel llenni,
ac yn ei lledu allan fel pabell i fyw ynddi.
23Fe ydy'r un sy'n gwneud y pwysigion yn neb,
a'r rhai sy'n llywodraethu ar y ddaear yn ddim.
24Prin eu bod wedi eu plannu,
prin eu bod wedi eu hau,
prin eu bod wedi bwrw gwreiddiau yn y tir –
mae e'n chwythu arnyn nhw ac maen nhw'n gwywo,
ac mae gwynt stormus yn eu cario i ffwrdd fel us.
25“I bwy dw i'n debyg yn eich barn chi?
Oes rhywun arall cystal?”
—meddai'r Un Sanctaidd.
26Edrychwch i fyny ar y sêr!
Pwy wnaeth eu creu nhw?
Pwy sy'n eu galw nhw allan bob yn un?
Pwy sy'n galw pob un wrth ei enw?
Mae e mor gryf ac mor anhygoel o nerthol –

27Jacob, pam wyt ti'n dweud,
“Dydy'r Arglwydd ddim yn gweld beth sy'n digwydd i mi”?
Israel, pam wyt ti'n honni,
“Dydy Duw yn cymryd dim sylw o'm hachos i”?
28Wyt ti ddim yn gwybod?
Wyt ti ddim wedi clywed?
Yr Arglwydd ydy'r Duw tragwyddol!
Fe sydd wedi creu y ddaear gyfan.
Dydy ei nerth e ddim yn pallu;
Dydy e byth yn blino.
Mae e'n rhy ddoeth i unrhyw un ei ddeall!
29Fe sy'n gwneud y gwan yn gryf,
ac yn rhoi egni i'r blinedig.
30Mae pobl ifanc yn pallu ac yn blino,
a'r rhai mwya ffit yn baglu ac yn syrthio;
31ond bydd y rhai sy'n pwyso ar yr Arglwydd
yn cael nerth newydd.
Byddan nhw'n hedfan i fyny fel eryrod;
yn rhedeg heb flino
a cerdded ymlaen heb stopio.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
