(Dyma welodd e am Jwda a Jerwsalem yn ystod y blynyddoedd pan oedd Wseia, Jotham, Ahas, a Heseceia yn frenhinoedd Jwda.) 2 Brenhinoedd 15:1-7; 15:32—16:20; 18:1—20:21; 2 Cronicl 26:1—32:33 1:1 frenhinoedd Jwda Wseia (783–742 CC ); Jotham (742–735 CC ); Ahas (735–715 CC ); Heseceia (715–687 CC ). Mae'r Arglwydd yn dweud:
“Dw i wedi magu plant a gofalu amdanyn nhw –
ond maen nhw wedi gwrthryfela yn fy erbyn i.
3Mae ychen yn nabod ei berchennog
ac asyn yn gwybod ble mae cafn bwydo ei feistr:
ond dydy Israel ddim yn fy nabod i;
dydy fy mhobl i'n cymryd dim sylw!”
4O! druan ohonot ti'r wlad sy'n pechu!
Pobl sy'n llawn drygioni!
Nythaid o rai sy'n gwneud drwg!
Plant pwdr!
Maen nhw wedi troi cefn ar yr Arglwydd,
A dirmygu Un Sanctaidd Israel,
Maen nhw wedi pellhau oddi wrtho.
5Pam dych chi'n dal ati i wrthryfela?
Ydych chi eisiau cael eich curo eto?
Mae briwiau ar bob pen
a'r corff yn hollol wan.
6Does unman yn iach
o'r corun i'r sawdl:
Dim ond clwyfau a chleisiau,
a briwiau agored –
Heb eu gwella na'u rhwymo,
ac heb olew i'w hesmwytho.
7Mae eich gwlad fel anialwch,
a'ch dinasoedd wedi eu llosgi'n ulw;
Mae dieithriaid yn bwyta eich cnydau
o flaen eich llygaid –
Anialwch wedi ei ddinistrio gan estroniaid!
8Dim ond Seion hardd sydd ar ôl –
fel caban yng nghanol gwinllan,
neu gwt mewn gardd lysiau;
fel dinas yn cael ei gwarchae.
9Oni bai fod yr Arglwydd holl-bwerus
wedi gadael i rai pobl fyw,
bydden ni wedi'n dinistrio fel Sodom,
neu wedi diflannu'n llwyr fel Gomorra. ▼

10Gwrandwch ar neges yr Arglwydd,
arweinwyr Sodom!
Gwrandwch ar beth mae Duw'n ei ddysgu i chi,
bobl Gomorra!
11“Beth ydy pwynt eich holl aberthau chi?” b
meddai'r Arglwydd.
“Dw i wedi cael llond bol o hyrddod yn offrymau i'w llosgi,
o fraster anifeiliaid a gwaed teirw.
Dw i ddim eisiau eich ŵyn a'ch bychod geifr chi.
12Dych chi'n ymddangos o'm blaen i –
Ond pwy ofynnodd i chi ddod
i stompio drwy'r deml?
13Stopiwch ddod â'ch offrymau diystyr!
Mae'r arogldarth yn troi arna i!
Dych chi'n dathlu Gŵyl y lleuad newydd a'r Sabothau,
ac yn cynnal cyfarfodydd eraill,
Ond alla i ddim diodde'r drygioni
sy'n mynd gyda'ch dathliadau crefyddol chi.
14Dw i'n casáu'r lleuadau newydd
a'ch gwyliau eraill chi.
Maen nhw'n faich arna i;
alla i mo'i diodde nhw.
15Pan fyddwch chi'n codi'ch dwylo i weddïo,
bydda i'n edrych i ffwrdd.
Gallwch chi weddïo faint fynnoch chi,
ond fydda i ddim yn gwrando.
Mae gwaed ar eich dwylo chi!
16Ymolchwch! Byddwch yn lân!
Ewch â'r pethau drwg dych chi'n eu gwneud
allan o'm golwg i!
Stopiwch wneud drwg;
17Dysgwch wneud da.
Brwydrwch dros gyfiawnder;
o blaid y rhai sy'n cael eu gorthrymu.
Cefnogwch hawliau plant amddifad,
a dadlau dros achos y weddw.
18Dewch, gadewch i ni ddeall ein gilydd,”
—meddai'r Arglwydd.
“Os ydy'ch pechodau chi'n goch llachar,
gallan nhw droi'n wyn fel yr eira;
Os ydyn nhw'n goch tywyll,
gallan nhw fod yn wyn fel gwlân.
19Os dych chi'n fodlon gwrando a gwneud be dw i'n ddweud,
cewch fwyta cynnyrch da'r tir;
20Ond os byddwch chi'n ystyfnig ac yn gwrthod gwrando,
byddwch chi'n cael eich difa gan y cleddyf,”
—mae'r Arglwydd wedi dweud.

21Ond o! Mae Seion wedi troi'n butain.Roedd hi'n ddinas ffyddlon,
yn llawn o bobl yn gwneud beth oedd yn iawn.
Cyfiawnder oedd yn arfer byw ynddi –
ond bellach llofruddion.
22Mae dy arian wedi ei droi'n amhuredd;
mae dy win wedi ei gymysgu â dŵr!
23Mae dy arweinwyr wedi gwrthryfela,
ac yn ffrindiau i ladron;
Maen nhw i gyd yn hoffi breib,
Ac yn chwilio am wobr.
Wnân nhw ddim amddiffyn plentyn amddifad
na gwrando ar achos y weddw.
24Felly, dyma mae'r Meistr yn ei ddweud
(yr Arglwydd holl-bwerus),
Arwr Israel! –
“O! bydda i'n dangos fy nig i'r rhai sy'n fy erbyn!
Bydda i'n dial ar fy ngelynion!
25Bydda i'n ymosod arnat
ac yn symud dy amhuredd â thoddydd.
Bydda i'n cael gwared â'r slag i gyd!
26Bydda i'n rhoi barnwyr gonest i ti fel o'r blaen,
a cynghorwyr doeth, fel roedden nhw ers talwm.
Wedyn byddi di'n cael dy alw
‛Y Ddinas Gyfiawn‛, ‛Tref Ffyddlon‛.”
27Bydd Seion yn cael ei gollwng yn rhydd pan ddaw'r dyfarniad;
a'r rhai sy'n troi'n ôl yn cael cyfiawnder.
28Ond bydd y rhai sydd wedi gwrthryfela a phechu yn cael eu sathru;
Bydd hi wedi darfod ar y rhai sydd wedi troi cefn ar yr Arglwydd.
29Bydd gynnoch chi gywilydd o'r coed derw cysegredig
oeddech chi mor hoff ohonyn nhw.
Byddwch chi wedi drysu o achos
y gerddi paganaidd ▼

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
