Dydd Barn ar yr Aifft yn dod!
1A dyma'r Arglwydd yn rhoi'r neges yma i mi: 2“Ddyn, proffwyda a dywed: ‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd, y Meistr, yn ei ddweud: Uda, “O na! Mae'r diwrnod wedi dod!”3Ydy, mae'r diwrnod mawr yn agos;
dydd barn yr Arglwydd!
Diwrnod o gymylau duon bygythiol;
amser anodd i'r gwledydd i gyd.
4Mae byddin yn dod i ymosod ar yr Aifft
a bydd teyrnas Cwsh ▼

mewn panigwrth weld pobl yr Aifft yn syrthio'n farw,
cyfoeth y wlad yn cael ei gario i ffwrdd
a'i sylfeini'n cael eu dinistrio.
5“‘Bydd pobl o ddwyrain Affrica, Pwt, Lydia a Libia sy'n byw yn yr Aifft, a hyd yn oed pobl Israel ▼

sy'n byw yno yn cael eu lladd yn y rhyfel.’ 6Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: ‘Bydd y rhai sy'n cefnogi'r Aifft yn syrthio.Bydd ei balchder yn ei grym yn chwilfriw!
Bydd pawb yn cael eu lladd yn y brwydro
yr holl ffordd o Migdol i Aswan.’”

7“‘Bydd yr Aifft yn anialwch gwaeth nag unrhyw wlad. Bydd ei threfi a'i dinasoedd yn adfeilion. 8Byddan nhw'n sylweddoli mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd pan fydda i'n cynnau tân yn yr Aifft ac yn sathru pawb sy'n ei chefnogi. 9Pan fydd hynny'n digwydd bydda i'n anfon negeswyr mewn llongau i ddychryn pobl ddibryder teyrnas Cwsh. Pan glywan nhw beth sy'n digwydd i'r Aifft bydd panig yn dod drostyn nhw! Gwyliwch! Mae'n dod!’” 10“‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd, y Meistr, yn ei ddweud: Dw i'n mynd i ddefnyddio Nebwchadnesar, brenin Babilon, i roi diwedd ar fyddin enfawr yr Aifft. 11Bydd e a'i fyddin, byddin y wlad fwya creulon yn y byd, yn dod i lawr i ddinistrio'r Aifft. Byddan nhw'n tynnu eu cleddyfau i ymosod, ac yn llenwi'r wlad gyda chyrff marw. 12Bydda i'n sychu ei ffosydd, ac yn rhoi'r wlad yn nwylo dynion drwg. Bydda i'n defnyddio byddin estron i ddinistrio'r wlad a phopeth ynddi. Yr Arglwydd ydw i, a dw i wedi dweud beth sydd i ddod! 13“‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd, y Meistr, yn ei ddweud: Dw i'n mynd i ddinistrio dy eilunod, a chael gwared â duwiau diwerth Memffis. Fydd neb ar ôl i arwain gwlad yr Aifft. Bydd dychryn drwy'r wlad i gyd. 14Bydda i'n dinistrio Pathros, yn cynnau tân yn Soan ac yn cosbi Thebes. 15Bydda i'n tywallt fy llid ar gaer Pelwsiwm ▼

Dydy'r fraich ddim wedi cael ei rhwymo i roi cyfle iddi wella, ac felly fydd hi byth yn ddigon cryf i drin cleddyf eto. 22Felly, dyma mae'r Arglwydd, y Meistr, yn ei ddweud: Gwyliwch chi! Dw i'n mynd i ddelio gyda'r Pharo, brenin yr Aifft. Dw i'n mynd i dorri ei freichiau – y fraich gref, a'r un sydd eisoes wedi torri – a bydd ei gleddyf yn syrthio ar lawr. 23Bydd pobl yr Aifft yn cael eu gyrru ar chwâl drwy'r gwledydd i gyd. 24Ond bydda i'n cryfhau breichiau brenin Babilon, ac yn rhoi fy nghleddyf i yn ei law. Bydda i'n torri breichiau'r Pharo, a bydd e'n griddfan mewn poen, fel dyn wedi ei anafu ac sydd ar fin marw. 25Bydda i'n cryfhau breichiau brenin Babilon, ond bydd breichiau'r Pharo yn llipa. Byddan nhw'n deall wedyn mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd, ac mai fi sydd wedi rhoi'r cleddyf yn llaw brenin Babilon iddo ymosod ar wlad yr Aifft. 26Bydd pobl yr Aifft yn cael eu gyrru ar chwâl drwy'r gwledydd i gyd. Byddan nhw'n deall wedyn mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd!”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
