1Dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses, “Dos at y Pharo. Dw i wedi ei wneud e a'i swyddogion yn ystyfnig, er mwyn iddyn nhw weld yr arwyddion gwyrthiol dw i'n eu gwneud. 2Hefyd er mwyn i ti allu dweud am beth ddigwyddodd wrth dy blant a'u plant hwythau, sut roeddwn i wedi gwneud ffyliaid o'r Eifftiaid. Byddwch chi'n deall wedyn mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd.” 3Felly dyma Moses ac Aaron yn mynd at y Pharo a dweud wrtho, “Dyma mae'r Arglwydd, Duw yr Hebreaid, yn ei ddweud: ‘Am faint wyt ti'n mynd i wrthod plygu i mi? Gad i'm pobl fynd yn rhydd, iddyn nhw gael fy addoli i! 4Os fyddi di'n gwrthod, gwylia dy hun! Bydda i'n anfon locustiaid drwy dy wlad di yfory. 5Byddan nhw dros bobman! Fyddi di ddim yn gallu gweld y llawr! Byddan nhw'n dinistrio popeth wnaeth ddim cael ei ddifetha gan y cenllysg. Fydd yna ddim byd gwyrdd ar ôl, a dim blagur ar y coed. 6Byddan nhw drwy dy balas di, tai dy swyddogion a tai pawb arall yn yr Aifft. Fydd dim byd tebyg i hyn wedi digwydd yn holl hanes gwlad yr Aifft!’” Yna dyma Moses yn troi ac yn gadael y Pharo. 7A dyma swyddogion y Pharo yn dweud wrtho, “Am faint mae hyn i fynd ymlaen? Gad iddyn nhw fynd i addoli'r Arglwydd eu Duw. Wyt ti ddim yn gweld y bydd hi ar ben ar y wlad yma?” 8Dyma nhw'n dod â Moses ac Aaron yn ôl at y Pharo. A dyma fe'n dweud wrthyn nhw, “Ewch i addoli'r Arglwydd eich Duw. Ond pwy yn union fydd yn mynd?” 9“Bydd pawb yn mynd,” meddai Moses, “hen ac ifanc, ein plant a'n hanifeiliaid. Dŷn ni'n mynd i gynnal gŵyl i'r Arglwydd.” 10“Duw a'ch helpo os ydych chi'n meddwl y gwna i adael i'ch plant fynd gyda chi! Gwyliwch chi! Byddwch chi mewn trwbwl wedyn! 11Na! Dim ond y dynion sydd i gael mynd i addoli'r Arglwydd. Dyna dych chi eisiau ynte?” A dyma fe'n gyrru'r ddau allan o'i olwg. 12Dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses, “Estyn dy law dros wlad yr Aifft i wneud i'r locustiaid ddod. Byddan nhw dros bobman, ac yn difetha popeth sy'n dal i dyfu ar ôl y cenllysg.” 13Felly dyma Moses yn estyn ei ffon dros wlad yr Aifft. A dyma'r Arglwydd yn gwneud i wynt o'r dwyrain chwythu drwy'r dydd a'r nos. Erbyn iddi wawrio y bore wedyn roedd y gwynt wedi dod â'r locustiaid i'r wlad. 14Dyma nhw'n mynd drwy'r wlad i gyd, o un pen i'r llall. Fuodd yna erioed bla tebyg o locustiaid, a fydd yna ddim un tebyg byth eto. 15Roedden nhw dros bobman! Roedd y ddaear yn ddu gan locustiaid, a dyma nhw'n difetha pob planhigyn a phob ffrwyth ar bob coeden oedd yn dal yna wedi'r cenllysg. Doedd yna ddim planhigyn na deilen werdd ar ôl drwy wlad yr Aifft i gyd! 16Dyma'r Pharo yn galw Moses ac Aaron ar frys. Meddai wrthyn nhw, “Dw i wedi pechu yn erbyn yr Arglwydd eich Duw, a chithau. 17Plîs maddeuwch i mi yr un tro yma, a dim ond gweddïo y bydd yr Arglwydd eich Duw yn cymryd y pla marwol yma i ffwrdd.” 18Felly dyma Moses yn gadael y Pharo ac yn gweddïo ar yr Arglwydd. 19A dyma'r Arglwydd yn gwneud i'r gwynt droi, a chwythu'n gryf o gyfeiriad y gorllewin. Dyma'r gwynt yn codi'r locustiaid a'u chwythu nhw i gyd i'r Môr Coch. ▼▼10:19 Môr Coch Hebraeg, “Môr y Brwyn”.

” 22Felly dyma Moses yn estyn ei law i fyny i'r awyr, ac roedd hi'n dywyll fel y fagddu drwy wlad yr Aifft am dri diwrnod. 23Doedd pobl ddim yn gallu gweld ei gilydd, a doedd neb yn gallu mynd allan am dri diwrnod! Ond roedd hi'n olau lle roedd pobl Israel yn byw. 24Dyma'r Pharo yn galw am Moses, a dweud, “Ewch i addoli'r Arglwydd. Cewch fynd â'ch plant gyda chi, ond dw i am gadw'r anifeiliaid yma.” 25Dyma Moses yn ateb, “Wyt ti ddim am roi anifeiliaid i ni i'w haberthu a'u cyflwyno'n offrymau i'w llosgi i'r Arglwydd ein Duw? 26Rhaid i'r anifeiliaid fynd gyda ni. Does dim un i gael ei adael ar ôl. Rhaid i ni ddewis rhai ohonyn nhw i'w haberthu i'r Arglwydd, a dŷn ni ddim yn gwybod pa rai nes byddwn ni wedi cyrraedd yno.” 27Ond dyma'r Arglwydd yn gwneud y Pharo yn ystyfnig eto. Doedd e ddim am adael iddyn nhw fynd. 28Meddai'r Pharo, “Dos o ngolwg i! Dw i byth eisiau dy weld di yma eto! Os gwela i di eto, bydda i'n dy ladd di!” 29“Iawn,” meddai Moses, “fyddi di byth yn fy ngweld i eto.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
