(2 Cronicl 26:1-23) 1Pan oedd Jeroboam wedi bod yn frenin ar Israel am ddau ddeg saith o flynyddoedd, dyma Wseia, ▼▼15:1 Hebraeg, “Asareia” – enw arall ar Wseia. (A'r un fath drwy'r bennod.)
mab Amaseia, yn dod yn frenin ar Jwda. 2Un deg chwech oedd e pan ddaeth yn frenin, a bu'n frenin yn Jerwsalem am bum deg dwy o flynyddoedd. Enw ei fam oedd Jecholeia, ac roedd hi'n dod o Jerwsalem. 3Fel ei dad Amaseia roedd yn gwneud beth oedd yn plesio'r Arglwydd. 4Ond wnaeth e ddim cael gwared â'r allorau lleol, ac roedd y bobl yn dal i aberthu anifeiliaid a llosgi arogldarth arnyn nhw. 5Dyma'r Arglwydd yn ei daro'n wael – bu'n dioddef o glefyd heintus ar y croen nes iddo farw. Roedd rhaid iddo fyw ar wahân i bawb am weddill ei oes. Jotham, mab y brenin, oedd yn rhedeg y palas ac yn rheoli'r wlad ar y pryd. 6Mae gweddill hanes Wseia, a'r cwbl wnaeth e ei gyflawni, i'w weld yn y sgrôl Hanes Brenhinoedd Jwda. 7Pan fuodd Wseia farw, cafodd ei gladdu gyda'i hynafiaid yn Ninas Dafydd. Yna daeth Jotham, ei fab, yn frenin yn ei le. Sechareia, brenin Israel
8Pan oedd Wseia wedi bod yn frenin ar Jwda am dri deg naw o flynyddoedd daeth Sechareia fab Jeroboam yn frenin ar Israel. Bu'n frenin yn Samaria am chwe mis. 9Gwnaeth bethau drwg iawn yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd fel ei hynafiaid o'i flaen. Wnaeth e ddim troi cefn ar yr eilunod roedd Jeroboam fab Nebat wedi eu codi i achosi i bobl Israel bechu. 10Dyma Shalwm fab Jabesh, yn cynllwyn yn ei erbyn a'i ladd o flaen pawb, yna dod yn frenin yn ei le. 11Mae gweddill hanes Sechareia i'w gael yn y sgrôl Hanes Brenhinoedd Israel. 12Roedd y neges roedd yr Arglwydd wedi ei rhoi i Jehw wedi dod yn wir: “Bydd dy ddisgynyddion di yn teyrnasu ar wlad Israel am bedair cenhedlaeth ar dy ôl.” A dyna'n union oedd wedi digwydd. ▼▼15:12 A dyna'n … digwydd Y pedair cenhedlaeth ddilynodd Jehw fel brenhinoedd Israel oedd Jehoachas 814–798 CC, Jehoas 798–782 CC, Jeroboam II 782–753 CC a Sechareia 753 CC (am 6 mis).

13Roedd Wseia wedi bod yn frenin ar Jwda am dri deg naw o flynyddoedd pan ddaeth Shalwm fab Jabesh yn frenin ar Israel. Bu'n frenin yn Samaria am fis. 14Roedd Menachem fab Gadi wedi dod o Tirtsa i Samaria, a lladd Shalwm. Yna dyma fe'n dod yn frenin yn ei le. 15Mae gweddill hanes Shalwm, a'r cynllwyn drefnodd e, i'w gweld yn y sgrôl Hanes Brenhinoedd Israel. 16Pan ddaeth Menachem o Tirtsa aeth i ymosod ar dre Tiffsa am i'r bobl yno wrthod ei dderbyn. Lladdodd bawb oedd yn byw yno ac yn yr ardal o gwmpas, a hyd yn oed rhwygo'n agored yr holl wragedd beichiog oedd yno.Menachem, brenin Israel
17Roedd Wseia wedi bod yn frenin ar Jwda am dri deg naw o flynyddoedd pan ddaeth Menachem fab Gadi yn frenin ar Israel. Bu'n frenin yn Samaria am ddeg mlynedd. 18Gwnaeth bethau drwg iawn yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd ar hyd ei oes. Wnaeth e ddim troi cefn ar yr eilunod roedd Jeroboam fab Nebat wedi eu codi i achosi i bobl Israel bechu. 19Pan oedd Menachem yn frenin dyma Tiglath-Pileser, ▼▼15:19 Tiglath-Pileser Hebraeg, Pwl, oedd yn llysenw ar Tiglath-Pileser, brenin Asyria o 745 i 727 CC
brenin Asyria, yn ymosod ar y wlad. Ond dyma Menachem yn rhoi tri deg pum mil cilogram o arian iddo, er mwyn ennill ei gefnogaeth a cadw'i afael yn ei safle fel brenin. 20Roedd Menachem wedi codi'r arian drwy drethu pobl gyfoethog Israel. Cododd dreth o dros bum cant gram o arian ar bob un ohonyn nhw, a'i dalu i frenin Asyria. Felly dyma fyddin Tiglath-Pileser yn troi'n ôl; wnaethon nhw ddim aros yn y wlad. 21Mae gweddill hanes Menachem, a'r cwbl wnaeth e ei gyflawni, i'w weld yn y sgrôl Hanes Brenhinoedd Israel. 22Pan fu farw Menachem, dyma ei fab, Pecacheia, yn dod yn frenin yn ei le. 23Roedd Wseia wedi bod yn frenin ar Jwda am bum deg o flynyddoedd pan ddaeth Pecacheia, mab Menachem, yn frenin ar Israel. Bu'n frenin yn Samaria am ddwy flynedd. 24Gwnaeth bethau drwg iawn yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd. Wnaeth e ddim troi cefn ar yr eilunod roedd Jeroboam fab Nebat wedi eu codi i achosi i bobl Israel bechu. 25A dyma'i is-gapten, Pecach fab Remaleia, yn cynllwyn yn ei erbyn. Dyma hwnnw, gyda pum deg o ddynion o Gilead, yn torri i mewn i gaer y palas a lladd y brenin Pecacheia, Argob ac Arie. Yna dyma Pecach yn dod yn frenin. 26Mae gweddill hanes Pecacheia, a'r cwbl wnaeth e ei gyflawni, i'w weld yn y sgrôl Hanes Brenhinoedd Israel.Pecach, brenin Israel
27Roedd Wseia wedi bod yn frenin ar Jwda am bum deg dwy o flynyddoedd, pan ddaeth Pecach fab Remaleia, yn frenin ar Israel. Bu'n frenin yn Samaria am ddau ddeg o flynyddoedd. 28Gwnaeth bethau drwg iawn yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd. Wnaeth e ddim troi cefn ar yr eilunod roedd Jeroboam fab Nebat wedi eu codi i achosi i bobl Israel bechu. 29Pan oedd Pecach yn frenin ar Israel, dyma Tiglath-pileser, brenin Asyria, yn dod a gorchfygu gogledd y wlad i gyd – trefi Ïon, Abel-beth-maacha, Ianoach, Cedesh, a Chatsor, hefyd ardaloedd Gilead, Galilea, a tir Nafftali i gyd. A dyma fe'n mynd â'r bobl i gyd yn gaethion i Asyria. 30Yna dyma Hoshea fab Ela yn cynllwyn yn erbyn Pecach, ei ladd, a dod yn frenin yn ei le. Digwyddodd hyn pan oedd Jotham fab Wseia, wedi bod yn frenin am ddau ddeg o flynyddoedd. 31Mae gweddill hanes Pecach, a'r cwbl wnaeth e ei gyflawni, i'w weld yn y sgrôl Hanes Brenhinoedd Israel.Jotham, brenin Jwda
(2 Cronicl 27:1-9) 32Yn ystod yr ail flwyddyn i Pecach fab Remaleia fel brenin ar Israel, daeth Jotham fab Wseia yn frenin at Jwda. 33Roedd yn ddau ddeg pum mlwydd oed pan ddaeth e'n frenin, a bu'n frenin yn Jerwsalem am un deg chwech o flynyddoedd. Enw ei fam oedd Ierwsa, merch Sadoc. 34Fel ei dad Wseia, roedd yn gwneud beth oedd yn plesio'r Arglwydd. 35Ond wnaeth e ddim cael gwared â'r allorau lleol, ac roedd y bobl yn dal i aberthu anifeiliaid a llosgi arogldarth arnyn nhw. Jotham wnaeth adeiladu Giât Uchaf y deml. 36Mae gweddill hanes Jotham, a'r cwbl wnaeth e ei gyflawni, i'w weld yn y sgrôl Hanes Brenhinoedd Jwda. 37Dyma pryd wnaeth yr Arglwydd ddechrau ysgogi Resin, brenin Syria, a Pecach fab Remaleia, i ymosod ar Jwda. 38Pan fuodd Jotham farw, cafodd ei gladdu gyda'i hynafiaid yn Ninas Dafydd. A daeth ei fab Ahas yn frenin yn ei le.

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
